Context and audience

This one-day symposium hosted online by King's College, London will bring together researchers and practitioners specialising in transnational education (TNE). Following from the 1st and 2nd TNE-Hub Symposia, this event will aim to highlight the hidden benefits of TNE, which are often neglected in the generalisation that TNE is mostly a commercial and financially driven activity. Also, now that the UN SGDs are becoming central to the strategy of universities, this event will provide an opportunity for HEIs, and researchers, to develop cases of impact for their existing TNE activities.

Symposium organising committee

  • Dr Vangelis Tsiligiris, Principal Lecturer, Nottingham Trent University

  • Dr William Lawton, former Director of the Observatory on Borderless Higher Education

  • Dr Christopher Hill, Director Doctoral Training Centre, Associate Professor, British University in Dubai
